Plan now to getaway to Walla Walla for our special weekend packages. Enjoy a two-night stay at one of our charming small inns, two seats in a wine or culinary class given by a local culinarian/wine educator, followed by lunch. Each weekend, we offer a different culinary experience.


Particpating Inns: A Room with a View, Cameo Heights Mansion, Fat Duck Inn, Girasol Vineyard & Inn, Green Gables Inn, Inn at Blackberry Creek, Inn at Woodhaven Farm & The Maxwell House Bed and Breakfast Inn.



How to Register: Choose by class or choose by weekend or choose by Bed & Breakfast Inn, then go to the participating Inn to book your stay. If reserving online, put WWGG and the class in Special Comments. Your innkeeper will confirm your stay and your seats in requested class. Note: Most classes are limited to 8-14 ppl

WALLA WALLA GOURMET GETAWAYS CULINARY EXPERIENCES:

The following classes are held Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m (unless otherwise specified) and participants receive hands-on instruction, lunch, two glasses of wine, and a Walla Walla Gourmet Getaways apron.

SATURDAY, MARCH 20, 2010:
Class 1: Classic French Cooking (class filled)

Owner & Chef Hannah MacDonald of Brasserie Four demonstrates classic French cooking techniques in preparing sauces as well as Roast Chicken and stuffed duck. This class will feature Tertulia Cellars wines. This class is from 2-5PM and is limited to 8 participants.

Class 2: The Art of Searing - Capturing flavor at its’ peak!
Chef Penny Addison of The Vine at Cameo Heights Mansion teaches you how to lock in natural goodness and flavors in both meat and seafood. The wines of Spring Valley Vineyard will be featured in this class.

SATURDAY, MARCH 27, 2010:
Class 1: Amazing Flatbreads

Executive Chef Jamie Guerin of Whitehouse Crawford demonstrates great flatbreads from scratch and features the wines of Don Carlo Vineyard.

Class 2: Classic Soups (class filled)
Private Chef & instructor Greg Schnoor invites you into his commercial kitchen at his home to demonstrate how to prepare classic, great soups. Greg also farms and raises Berkshire pigs, and he will share his passion for sustainable agriculture through his cooking. The wines of Walla Walla Vintners will be featured in this class.


Note: Space in cooking classes is limited to 8-12 people.
